New Work: London Design Festival 2008
Domenic Lippa has reprised his role as the art director of the London Design Festival. With his design team; Beatrice Blumenthal and Marie Bauer; Lippa designed the identity for the 2008 festival, which is the umbrella organisation for London’s annual celebration of design that took place last week.
Alongside the ubiquitous LDF guidebooks, the essential accessory for festival-goers, Lippa and his team designed every element of the festival’s city-wide graphic presence including print, invitations, signage, environmental graphics and the look and feel of the website.

The LDF also retained Lippa’s design for the London Design Medal, which this year was awarded to Marc Newson.

Newson was presented the medal at the LDF’s Gala Dinner, held at the Phillips de Pury & Company auction house. A book commemorating Newson’s career so far, again designed by Lippa, was distributed amongst the guests to mark the occasion.
